Electronic Signature Consent
Sustainable Transport Advisory Pty Ltd
Effective 15 October 2026
Sustainable Transport Advisory Pty Ltd (STA, we, us) offers agreements for signature electronically through its secure signing page. This page explains what signing electronically means and what you are agreeing to when you tick the box and continue. If you do not agree, do not continue; contact the person at STA who sent you the agreement and ask for another way to sign.
1. Your agreement to sign electronically
By ticking the box and continuing, you agree that:
- you will sign the document electronically, and your typed name together with the Sign action is your signature and has the same effect as a handwritten signature;
- you intend to be bound by the document you sign;
- you are the person named as the signer, and you are authorised to sign the document on behalf of the organisation named in it;
- you consent to the use of this electronic method for the document, as contemplated by the Electronic Transactions Act 1999 (Cth) and the corresponding State and Territory laws.
2. How we identify you
The signing link is sent only to the email address the sender gave us. When you open it, we email a one-time 6-digit code to that address and you must enter it before you can view or sign the document. Only the person with access to that mailbox can complete the signature.
3. What we record with your signature
To make the signature reliable and provable, we keep an audit trail of the signing session. It includes your name and title as typed, the email address the code was sent to, the IP address and browser used, the date and time of each step in UTC, the SHA-256 fingerprint of the document you viewed and signed, and the fingerprint of the final sealed document. A certificate of completion listing these details is appended to the signed document.
4. Copies and retention
Once the document is countersigned for STA, the sealed PDF with its certificate is emailed to you and to the STA countersigner. We keep the signed document, the certificate and the audit trail for the term of the agreement plus six years, and we do not alter them. You may ask us for a copy at any time.
5. Hardware and software
To sign electronically you need a device with a current web browser and access to the email address the agreement was sent to. To keep and read your signed copy you need software that opens PDF files.
6. Privacy
The personal information collected during signing is used only to identify you, to sign and seal the document, and to prove that it was signed. It is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
7. Withdrawing consent
You can decline to sign electronically at any time before you sign by closing the signing page and contacting the sender. Consent given for one document applies to that document only; you will be asked again for any other document we send you.
